Stephen uses the passion that propelled him over two decades as a ten time SEC champion for the University of Alabama and subsequently as a world-class runner with sponsorship from Nike, Adidas, Puma, and others. This experience ultimately lead him to become an inductee into the State of Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. It is this fundamental passion that drove him to develop Proclivity’s unique model for senior housing.

Stephen’s vision for faith-based senior housing was birthed in his ability and commitment to visualize solutions to historic opportunities and his drive for excellence. Whether in athletics, or business.

Developing his financial services company, Stephen decided to become independent and acquire a Certified Financial Planner degree in 1994. He then quickly became the top producer in one of the more prominent broker dealers in the US.

Stephen then developed a faith-based financial services company that involved hedge funds and a $130 million proprietary values-based asset management platform. Beginning with a significant and seminal meeting on Wall Street in 2009, Stephen began due diligence into the emerging senior housing industry with the caveat of adding Christian faith and values. After commissioning focus groups and doing church canvassing he found that there was a tremendous attraction to his model in the Christian community.

Bolt has a habit of surrounding himself with strong partners to create powerful programs that change lives, and communities. Since he has an inclination to pursue this on a regular basis, you could say it is a penchant of his. We call it Proclivity!

Dr. Rudy Holland is a lifelong minister who has served the NCLL for years.

Born in Kenly, North Carolina, in 1946 to Rudolph and Ernestine Holland, Dr. Holland is the older brother of Sandra Edwards and Diane Brown. When he was thirteen, his parents moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where Dr. Jerry Falwell was his neighbor, pastor, and mentor. On April 1, 1965, Dr. Holland attended a revival led by Lester Roloff at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, where he accepted Christ and was called to preach.

His ministry began in 1970 at Berean Baptist Church, where he pastored for nineteen years and led Berean Christian Academy and Berean Daycare. Following his tenure at Berean, he was called to serve three churches as senior pastor over a twenty-two-year period: in Uniontown, Pennsylvania; Napa, California; and Sanford, North Carolina.

After retiring from the pastorate, Dr. Holland started PRH Ministries in honor of his son Paul, who was unable to serve in the ministry due to a brain tumor. With a theme of “Proclaiming the Word, Reaching the Lost, and Helping the Hurting,” the vision for PRH is for Paul’s testimony to reach those who are suffering. Dr. Holland continues the work of PRH Ministries today in addition to his service at the NCLL.

Dr. Holland served on the board of directors of Baptist University of America, Tennessee Temple University, and Davis College and is one of the founders of the Virginia Assembly of Independent Baptists and the Old Dominion Association of Christian Schools. He was instrumental in landmark legislation in the state of Virginia that protects child development centers from intrusive measures by state agencies.

Mitchell concentrates his practice in the areas of federal and state regulation of securities, private equity, corporate finance, general corporate representation, and real estate development and syndication. His securities practice has led to the successful structuring and placement of numerous debt and equity offerings in both the public and private markets for clients in a diverse array of industries.

Mitchell gives particular emphasis to “value-added” efforts in introducing clients to sources of finance and business opportunities. His closely related activities include the financing of mature businesses as well as start-up and emerging growth businesses, including real estate, venture capital, public offerings and PIPE financings. He handles both buy side and sell side private equity transactions.

Mitchell has been awarded an AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for ethical standards and legal ability. He was also named a Leading Lawyer in Illinois and recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (2018) and Leading Lawyers (2013 to present).

Mitchell received his B.A., Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

James Brodi, has over 20 years of experience in Architecture. As early as high school Jim began winning architectural design competitions and knew he would eventually become an Architect. He finished his undergraduate work and received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He decided to take a sabbatical from his studies and traveled to Europe. He returned and entered his graduate studies at Lawrence Technological University. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture (Professional Degree), which at the time allowed candidates to take the Architectural State Licensing Exam. In January of 1999, Jim became a Licensed Architect. Over the years he worked for prestigious firms in the Metropolitan Detroit and Grand Rapids Area. He also taught at Ferris State University which encouraged Jim to reenter academia and attain his Masters Degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. In 2005 Jim traveled to Chicago to enter a two year specialty program at the Catholic Theological Union. There he studied courses in church design, programming, change management, Liturgy, Sacraments, Old and New Testament history, grief and coping psychology, ritual, capital gift campaigns, group management and group polarities. Jim now practices as a Liturgical Design Consultant as well as an Architect, nevertheless, all of these mechanisms that were learned can be used for any denomination or project. Jim also has been an expert witness in the court of law.

Paradigm Senior Living is a professional services company which provides facility management, marketing support, and development/ feasibility consulting services, to the multifamily, senior housing and assisted living industries. With experience spans 30 years, Lee has been instrumental in the acquisition, and development and operation of more than 60 Senior Living Communities totaling 7,500+ living units and valued at more than $750MM. His project types include CCRC’s, Congregate Retirement, Assisted Living, and dementia care communities.
